Saratoga, Calif. (Business Wire) – November 3, 2009 – Valley Inception, LLC today introduced its newest property, Incisive. The Incisive portfolio of online Software as a Service (SaaS) and installable products are based on its acquisition of spreadsheet analysis technology from RedRover Software, Inc, a developer of enterprise-class spreadsheet analysis and management software and services. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, California and with development offices in Corvallis, Oregon, Valley Inception-owned Incisive will deliver the industry’s first spreadsheet analysis and management software as a service (SaaS). The first Incisive product will be announced in November 2009.

“All business applications and office productivity products will transition to online services over time; Google and others have led the way and Microsoft is not far behind,” said Jack Smith, co-founder and partner of Valley Inception, LLC. “Incisive is committed to delivering a portfolio of online products that offer best-in-class spreadsheet error detection, management and risk mitigation. These online products complement Incisive’s interactive installable products based on technology acquired from RedRover Software, Inc.  Using the SaaS model to deliver these applications ensures that end users are always using Incisive’s latest technology for risk mitigation, with plenty of data center computing power for deep analysis.”

The technology behind Incisive products was conceived and incubated at Oregon State University in Corvallis. Today, Incisive products and services are compatible with market-leading spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Office Excel 2007, 2003, 2000 and Mac as well as Google Spreadsheets.
