Incisive Will Show Attendees How to Avoid Spreadsheet Risks with its Software for Spreadsheet Management

SAN JOSE, CA – August 14, 2015 – Incisive today announced it is a sponsor of the 2015 Governance, Risk and Control (GRC) Conference hosted by ISACA and The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). The conference will be held August 17 – 19 in Phoenix, Arizona. For a demo of Incisive’s spreadsheet risk analysis and management solutions, visit booth 119.

“No matter how hard organizations try, spreadsheets will not go away. They are easy to use, accessible, and people are comfortable working with Excel. While there are risks associated with spreadsheets, users are willing to take them to get the job done,” said Janine Kromhout, vice president of marketing at Incisive. “Fortunately, advances in technology help enterprises overcome spreadsheet risks. Automated risk and analysis solutions provide the much needed insight into spreadsheets yet many organizations don’t utilize these solutions simply because they are unaware this technology exists. Working with ISACA and the IIA, we hope to create greater awareness of this technology and help enterprises stop potentially damaging situations caused before they occur.”

Incisive’s suite of spreadsheet risk and analysis management software solutions include:

  • Concourse – to provide automated insight into risk from the tens of thousands of spreadsheets in an organization. Concourse offers a team-based approach to spreadsheet collaboration, management and control, including versioning.
  • Locator – to enable spreadsheet discovery and risk assessment. Locator helps enterprises find spreadsheets on a company’s network, generate a spreadsheet inventory, and identify and rank risk.
  • Xcellerator – to help spreadsheet users resolve errors and risks. Xcellerator combines powerful error detection with investigative capabilities allowing users to comprehensively analyze spreadsheets.

The GRC conference will feature more than 30 sessions on topics such as risk mitigation, anti-bribery and corruption, privacy, technology and audit effectiveness related to millennials and more. The sessions will be divided into four tracks:

  • IT Emerging Trends
  • A Holistic Approach to GRC Processes & Implementation
  • ERM: Impact on Strategic Solutions
  • Regulatory & Compliance Issues: Best Practices

There also will be two pre-conference workshops: “Enabling IT Risk Management Using COBIT 5 For Risk” and “Designing and Maintaining Effective Risk Appetite Frameworks.”

Participants working on professional credentials from The IIA and ISACA will gain new insights, deeper knowledge and greater understanding of internal auditing and IT, which will provide value to them, both at certification exam time and in their professional practice. Content covered will be especially helpful to candidates pursuing The IIA’s Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) and ISACA’s Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) credentials.
