Version 2.0 Offers New Tests, Custom Test Builder, Link Analyzer and Custom Reporting Features

San Jose, Calif. (Business Wire) – April 26, 2012 – Incisive, a developer of enterprise-class spreadsheet analysis and management solutions, today announced Xcellerator 2.0, the newest version of its leading spreadsheets analysis program. Version 2.0 now includes features such as new spreadsheet risk tests, a custom test builder, a link analyzer and custom reporting; all designed to help find and report on material errors and possible fraudulent activities.

“Spreadsheet errors don’t always lead to fraud, but it’s important for organizations to have the right tests and tools to determine which activities are fraudulent and which are not,” said Kevin Swartz, director of engineering for Incisive. “The new tests and tools in Xcellerator 2.0 were created to give spreadsheet reviewers the freedom to configure and combine their own tests and design reports based on company policies.”

The new features to Xcellerator 2.0 include new spreadsheet risk tests specifically designed to help find possible fraudulent activities. The new tests include finding extremely small font sizes, misleading custom formatting, broken regions, references to a hidden named range and formulas that have few occurrences.

Xcellerator 2.0 also offers a powerful Custom Test Builder that allows organizations to configure their own tests based on company policies and spreadsheet best practices. This unique test builder allows configured tests to be combined with existing ones to provide spreadsheet reviewers with an unlimited number of possibilities and guide them in methodical processes to look for fraud patterns. Tests may be configured to search for specific items in cell values, formulas or entire spreadsheets.

The new Link Analyzer explores an entire workbook to find any external references, thus eliminating tedious and elusive manual searching. Link Analyzer searches cells, names, objects (such as a text box), chart titles and chart data series. It can also drill down into unlimited reference layers to locate external references.

In addition to standard reports to help fulfill audit and compliance requirements, Xcellerator 2.0 now provides configurable reporting options to give users more visibility into their spreadsheets. Users can attach comments to reports and the Test Details Report now hyperlinks directly to the cells in question. Reports can be exported to Microsoft Office Excel for sharing with peers or executive management.

Xcellerator 2.0 will be available in June 2012. For product demos, pricing and more information, please contact [email protected].
