Mike Winterscheidt is the Vice President and Corporate Controller for Caesars Entertainment. His team is responsible for technical accounting application and issue resolution, external reporting, accounting policy interpretation, and the consolidated close and reporting processes. In 2015 one of his primary responsibilities was remediating a broad material weakness across the enterprise which was related to the sufficiency of information supporting controls.
Prior to joining Caesars, Mike was in similar roles at both Delta Airlines and Microsoft Corporation. While at Delta, he was responsible for many of the same functions he is currently responsible for and worked as a representative of the industry on many technical issues including the new Revenue Recognition and Leasing Standards.
John Santon is a manager of consolidated accounting and financial reporting for Caesars Entertainment. His team is responsible for consolidation, internal reporting to senior management, and for supporting externally reported financial information. He served in an operational role in the successful remediation of a material weakness in 2015. He also functions as a primary audit contact and information provider.
Prior to joining Caesars, John worked in the financial services sector of KPMG LLP in its Boston office. He specialized in commercial banking, asset management, and investment funds assurance engagements for SEC registrants.
